The Consorzio Marmisti Bresciani was formed in the 1990s in order to promote the quality of materials and skills of its associates, and to assist them in the course of their activities. In addition, the Consortium aims to protect and increase public awareness of the historical and cultural heritage of stone from Brescia.
The Consortium is an association in constant development, which covers the entire marble and granite processing chain, and is considered today to be one of the most active representatives of the stone industry.
The Consortium comprises a number of companies specialising in the extraction and processing of typical local stone from the Brescia area - Botticino Classico, Botticino Semiclassico, Botticino Fiorito, Breccia Aurora, Breccia Oniciato, Porfido della Valcamonica - as well as companies specialising in the processing of stone from all over the world.
